| Summary | 0000894: [SWAN]Amp Block rework SOP | ||||
| Description | Dear Tom I have some question about your rework SOP. 1. Volume up GPIO assign: How about Volume up connection? 2. R2902: In your picture, R2902 is open. Which part change to 1K pull-down? 3. CLK_OUT and 3.3V power location: I cannot recognize which via is CLK_OUT and 3.3V power. Please explain more detail. | ||||

Dear Tom I updated my request. Please provide below points for fast proceeding. 1. Fixed rework guideline(Rework point and resistors value) --> [9/1_ALT]Rework guide is need to more detail. We cannot understand something. Please update. 2. VS-550 circuit related audio amp interface block(I2S and I2C, GPIO) - We need to above data for cross check with our Engineering Group. --> [9/1_ALT]No update. 3. Power block related Audio amp block(24V block with FET and 3.3V block for Amp) - Same as above No.2 --> [9/1_ALT]No update. 4. Final Amp block circuit.(If final version is 0720 version, you don’t provide) --> [9/1_ALT]No update Please provide above items. Best regards Lonnie Kim |

Hi, Lonnie 1. Please see page 9~11 on attached ppt file. (LED board rework and Audio AMP rework_20200901.pptx) 2. I2S interface (MCLK/BCLK/LRCK) to VS-550 I2S1 interface, data to I2S1_D0. I2C interface to VS-550 TW0_SCL/TW0_SDA /PD pin to GPIO[32] for EVT1/EVT2 board, I will select another GPIO for DVT board. 3. Please see attached pdf file. (Audio AMP Power Circuit.pdf) 4. Correct the EC cap. value from 680uF to 560uF. Because 680uF is typo. (K18X001T00 V005 AMP circuit.pdf) Thanks ! |

Dear Tom Thank you for your provide. I have two questions based on your data. 1. Volume up GPIO assign: How about Volume up connection? 2. 24V control circuit: Is there any power switch as like FET on 24V power line? > If yes, please provide that block. > If no, could you meet passive standby requirement? I think there have leakage but it would be effect because high voltage(24V) > other issue(like as pop-up) Best regards Lonnie Kim |

Hi, Lonnie 1. For EVT1 and EVT2 board, if we would like to test volume up key, we must disconnect PD pin of AMP IC with GPIO32 then connect GPIO32 to pin 5 of J807 via R2956. I will select another GPIO for PD pin of AMP IC in DVT board. 2. No FET switch. For standby power, I will provide to you tomorrow. |

Hi, Lonnie Standby power consumption is about 0.84714W @24V For other issue, what is "like as pop-up". Could explan it more detail. Thanks! |

Hi Mr.Yoon and Lonnie, The attached file is the standby mode power consumption measurement result of VS550 provided by Synaptics Xiamin Luo. The active standby power consumtion is 0.62W@5V DC side. According to Synaptics, the VS550 will only support active standby mode but will not going to support suspend mode in the future, and I think this will be the problem for AI3 to meet the power consumption below 1W required by Korea goverment in 2021. I already ask Synaptics China to support this feature but it looks Synaptics has other thinking. I'm not sure if power consumption below 1W is a hard requirement from Korea goverment or not. But I think we should push Synaptics together to support this feature for AI3 project if we need AI3 to meet this requirement. Please let me know your idea on this issue. Thanks! Regards, Sean |

Hi, Loonie Update rework SOP. I add below items on page 13~19. 1. Uses SM_GPIO9 to control volume up key. 2. Short pin 1 and pin 2 of J805, J806. => for AUX/MIC detect 3. Short pin 3 and pin 4 of J805, J806. => for AUX/MIC input signal 4. Short C1364. => for MIC input signal. Thanks ! |

0000894:0004241 Dear Tom Does "0.84714W @24V" means you measured DC side?(not include Adaptor)? If it correct, you should reduce under 0.7W because adaptor efficiency should be around 75%. Please consider reduce power consumption. Best regards Lonnie Kim |

Hi, Lonnie reply 0000894:0004248 Yes, it means DC 24V power consumption. Thanks ! |

Hi, Lonnie I would like to update rework SOP to you. Update lists are as below. 1. page14: remove R226 and connect volume up key to TP127 (TP127 are more easy soldering than R226). 2. page15: remove R11, MIC mute key controlled by GPIO[25]. Thanks ! |
